Best quote and estimate app for iPhone

The quote you write in the van beats the quote you write on Sunday evening, because by Sunday the customer has two other numbers. Speed is the whole competitive advantage of quoting from a phone, and most quoting apps lose it to sign-in screens and sync spinners.

How it works

  1. 01

    Set up the catalogue once

Save the services and materials you quote repeatedly with their prices. After that, most estimates are assembled rather than typed.

  2. 02

Price the job in front of the customer

Add lines, tax, discounts, references, custom fields, terms and payment instructions. Attach photos of the site if the scope needs evidence.

  3. 03

    Take the signature and go

The customer signs on your iPhone. When the work is done, convert the accepted quote into an invoice and record the deposit against it.

Why estimating on the phone wins work

Response time is the single strongest predictor of winning a domestic job. An estimate handed over before you leave the drive is a different product from one emailed three days later.

That only works if the app is usable one-handed on a doorstep, which means a saved catalogue, sensible defaults and no login wall between you and a new document.

Estimate to invoice without retyping

Re-entering an accepted quote as an invoice is where errors and lost line items come from. QuoteLocal converts the accepted quote directly, preserving the lines, tax treatment and terms.

Deposits and partial payments are recorded against the invoice, so the outstanding figure is the real one rather than something you reconstruct at month end.

Private by default

Customer names, addresses and pricing are commercially sensitive and stay on the device unless you turn on Pro sync, which uses your own private Apple iCloud container.

There is no QuoteLocal account, no advertising SDK and no behavioural analytics SDK. Backups are password-protected AES-256 files you keep.

Questions

Can I send a quote without an internet connection?

You can create and sign the quote offline. Sending the PDF needs a connection at whatever moment you choose to share it.

Does the customer need an app or an account?

No. They sign on your device and receive a PDF.

Can I use my own branding?

Pro adds custom logos and colours and removes the small footer from exported PDFs.

Does it work on iPad and Mac too?

Yes. The same app runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with optional private iCloud sync between them under Pro.
