Estimate, quote and invoice
This template is a starting document for proposed work. The meaning and legal effect of an estimate or quote depend on the agreement and jurisdiction. An invoice records the amount billed; label each document clearly and keep its own reference.
Worked example: a 30% deposit
Six hours at 60.00 is 360.00. Two shelves at 80.00 and fixings at 20.00 add 180.00, making a pre-tax total of 540.00. A 30% deposit is 162.00. If received, that payment leaves 378.00 before any applicable tax. The sample does not determine a tax rate for your business.
Keep the next estimate ready
QuoteLocal for Mac keeps customers, quotes and invoices locally by default. The free tier includes three branded PDF exports each month. Pro adds a reusable catalogue, unlimited PDFs, custom branding and optional private iCloud sync.
Print, fill and keep a copy
Print page one for a blank form, or use a PDF reader’s markup tools to add text. Page two is a worked example. The PDF does not calculate totals or save records automatically. You may print and adapt the template for your own work.
